One person, one activity that belongs to their life — shown in two ways, both of them true. First the wordless encounter: eight Polaroids, each existing only once. Then the second look: one minute of film. Finally a single quote, from the person themselves — not about them. The order is part of the work. Because the actual work arises in the viewer: in the moment they notice how their judgement forms — and whether they are willing to question it.
Fine art pigment print — eight copies, individually signed.
Polaroid emulsion on paper — each exists only once.
The second way of being real.

The same person, the same activity — one minute, uncut. It is not the work that changes but the perception of the one who has seen both ways. Only then does the person portrayed speak: a single quote, the third element. It is written nowhere. It reveals itself only to those holding an original — the work is the key.
